Ann Street United Methodist Church was designated some years ago by The Sons of Liberty of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and named by Congress to be the official Fourth of July bell ringer for the State of North Carolina! Since North Carolina is one of the original 13 colonies, we are asked to ring our church bell at exactly 2:00 pm each July 4th, 13 times in recognition and honor of those colonies who seceded from England to form this wonderful country we call The United States of America. Come join us as we celebrate Independence Day!
