Making disciples of Jesus Christ by the sea and throughout God's creation

Letter from our Lay Leader

Dear Friends:

In November, we gathered as a church family on Consecration Sunday to celebrate to the goodness of God and the faithfulness of His people. As the chair of the Stewardship Committee, I was reminded that the people of Ann Street United Methodist Church love their church and support their church.

I long for that time when we can gather again. Until then and beyond, our work as a church must continue.

As we gather for worship through live-streaming and/or pre-recorded services here at Ann Street United Methodist Church, we aim to engage in all of the important parts of our weekly worship service. We continue to sing hymns. We continue to pray. We continue to study scripture. We continue to hear beautiful music. We continue to receive uplifting sermons. We need to continue to worship through receiving offering.

Our financial gifts support God’s work through our congregation. Ann Street United Methodist Church makes ministry possible every day of the year. During the challenges of the hurricanes, our church stepped up to provide ministry in new ways.

We are stepping up again to provide ministry in the face of a new challenge.

All of these things require financial resources. I encourage you to take a moment right now and give a gift for support God’s ministry at Ann Street United Methodist Church. You can easily give a gift through out website at www.annstreetumc.org/give. You can also mail your gift to Ann Street United Methodist Church, 417 Ann Street, Beaufort, NC 28516.

When I have the honor of being the Lay Liturgist for a worship service and it is time to take up the offering; I many times say, “With a grateful heart let us continue our worship with the giving of our gifts, tithes, and offerings.”

Even in these crazy times, we have a lot for which to be grateful.

Let us join together in gratitude and generosity as we continue to give toward God’s work at Ann Street United Methodist Church.

God Bless You ALL:

John McLeod
